Song Kosal, MA
Teaching Diploma in Cambodian Tax
Song Kosal is the leading lecturer in the field of tax as well as a leading practitioner as the Tax Director for Ernst & Young. He has also worked as a Senior Tax Consultant at PwC, as a Supervisor of Tax and Corporate Services at KPMG, and as Deputy Head of Tax at Bun & Associates. Kosal holds a Master of Fiscal Policy from Nagoya University where he also completed doctoral studies.
Eng Ratana
Teaching Diploma in Cambodian Tax
Ratana is the Director of the Large Tax Payer Department of the General Department of Taxation and is now a leading figure in tax in Cambodia. He was formerly a member of the National Accounting Council. Ratana holds an MBA from Charles Sturt University.
Clint O’Connell
Teaching Diploma in Cambodian Tax
Clint is a tax lawyer with over 11 years of experience in tax consulting, of which five years have been in Cambodia. He previously worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers and DFDL in Cambodia, where he led a team of tax consultants. Clint has advised a wide range of clients on structures and the taxation aspects of their operations in Cambodia, including on legal and tax due diligence, corporate income tax, personal income tax and indirect taxes. He has a broad range of clients, particularly in the infrastructure, telecommunications, consumer products, and oil and gas industries. Clint holds a Bachelor of Law Degree from Victoria University in Wellington, NZ, has been admitted to the Bar in New Zealand and is a current member of the New Zealand Law Association.
Sim Laysym
Teaching Diploma in Cambodian Tax
Laysym is an experienced tax adviser with a degree in management. He has over 10 years of work experience, including with KPMG and DFDL in Cambodia, where he was responsible for relations with the tax authorities. He has advised on tax planning for large property projects, on employee benefits, and has conducted tax due diligence on several major acquisitions in Cambodia. He has worked with a wide variety of clients, focusing particularly on the real estate, transportation industries and non-profit organization. Laysym heads VDB Loi’s Controversy Team, a successful group of senior tax advisers 100% dedicated to tax audits and disputes. He has a long and proven track record of successful defense of multinationals, banks and property developers.
