CAT Qualification
The CAT qualification is an internationally recognized IFRS/IAS based accounting certification and in demand by employers. It can lead to a challenging and rewarding career. Upon completion of the exams and required practical experience you will be able to apply to use the letters "CAT" after your name.
CAT Requirements
A high school diploma and strong English skills are required in order to register in the CAT program (Chinese high school diplomas are accepted). The entrance exam tests English and math skills.
CAT Program
The CAT program offers a diploma-level qualification which may be completed in as little as two years.
The CAT qualification is a highly regarded accounting technician qualification designed for people who are looking to start a career in finance, achieve recognition for the skills and experience already gained in employment or gain accelerated entry to the ACCA Professional Scheme.
For those students who want to go on to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), CAT graduates are given an exemption from the first three papers of the ACCA program.
ACCA Qualification
The ACCA Qualification is your route to
professional status in the fields of finance, accounting and auditing. It is designed to provide the accounting knowledge, skills and professional values which will deliver finance professionals who are capable of building successful careers across all sectors.
The ACCA qualification indicates a high level of expertise level and authorizes an accountant to legally engage in private or public practice. ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) has signed a joint examination scheme agreement with the Kampuchea Institute of CPAs and Auditors (KICPAA) and the National Accounting Council (NAC) of the
Ministry of Economy and Finance, Cambodia.
ACCA Requirements
Applicants with a bachelor or master degree in a related subject from an approved university and at least one year professional experience are invited to apply. Completion of an entrance exam is required. The entrance exam includes tests of English, math and accounting. Applicants should apply online at www.cam-ed.com and they will be invited to take an entrance exam.
ACCA Program
The courses may be taken individually, but in numerical order. Up to four papers may be taken simultaneously. Exemptions may be available for graduates holding a master degree or higher.
